Cloud Security Engineer
Role Overview
Trazi is a web management company that owns and manages several online e-commerce businesses. We're looking for a Cloud Security Engineer to lead the effort in safeguarding our cloud infrastructure and protecting our websites from malicious bots, scrapers, and attackers. This role is for someone who thrives on identifying risks before they become problems, has hands-on experience in securing AWS environments, and can build proactive defenses to keep our platform and customer data secure.
You’ll work closely with DevOps and engineering to ensure our systems are monitored, hardened, and resilient against intrusion and abuse.
The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $135,000.
For those in the Orlando, FL area, you are able to work semi-remote (3 days) and on-site (2 days).
Responsibilities and Duties
- Detect, block, and mitigate scraper bots, crawlers, and automated abuse
- Implement and fine-tune AWS security protocols (IAM, Security Groups, WAF, GuardDuty, Shield)
- Analyze traffic patterns and logs to identify malicious behavior
- Work with Cloudflare (or equivalent) to write and optimize WAF rules and bot protection
- Establish alerting and monitoring pipelines (e.g., CloudWatch, Loki, Grafana, or SIEM)
- Perform regular audits of our AWS infrastructure for misconfigurations and vulnerabilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams on secure design and coding practices
- Contribute to incident response processes and security documentation
You Might be a Fit if You Have
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cloud security (AWS strongly preferred)
- Proven success mitigating bots and crawlers in a production environment
- Deep understanding of AWS services, security tooling, and infrastructure hardening
- Experience writing custom Cloudflare WAF rules and traffic filters
- Familiarity with logging, monitoring, and intrusion detection systems
- Ability to clearly communicate risks and advocate for security best practices
Bonus Points For
- Experience with PCI, SOC 2, or other compliance frameworks
- Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, JS, Terraform, etc.)
- Familiarity with secure CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps mindset)
- Security certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security, CISSP, OSCP)
